He stood quite still, moving only his head. Here&#8217;s the clue I found that indicated nesting activity &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"830\" height=\"623\" src=\"http:\/\/www.megforward.com\/birds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5466-830x623.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1858\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.megforward.com\/birds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5466-830x623.jpg 830w, https:\/\/www.megforward.com\/birds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5466-830x623-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.megforward.com\/birds\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/IMG_5466-830x623-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 830px) 100vw, 830px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Feathers littered over fallen pine needles.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Interesting name, &#8220;Bald&#8221; Eagle. This magnificent raptor isn&#8217;t bald at all.  Not compared to another large bird that&#8217;s truly bald &#8230; the vulture.
